Club members managed to clock some good times despite the warm weather conditions that affected many of the 38,000 runners in this year’s race. Simon McNamee managed a personal best time and Peter Lawton tells us that this was the 44th Marathon that he has completed, whilst John Summerton has asked us to check if he is the oldest club member to complete a full Marathon.

Pete Dimbleby 2-49-53, Simon McNamee 3-02-57, Clare Grice 3-17-47, sally Latham 3-31-01, Matt Washburn 3-36-56, Punam Bajaj 4-213-44, Peter Lawton 4-15-18, Sean Conboy 4-21-00, Harry Lalli 4-29-16, Brendan White 4- 35-07, Lisa Dimbleby 5-09-23, Terry Parker 5-23-06, John Summerton 9-17-00.

It was good to see the two ladies – who have been helped by the clubs Marathon runners with preparation for their first ever race and Marathon – complete the course to raise funds for their charity, St Mary’s Hospice at Selly Oak. Former ITV News Presenter Llewella Bailey finished with a time of 6-39-28 and her daughter, Jessica Brabant getting round in 5-42-48.
