The England U17 and U15 Championships saw some excellent performances from young Birchfield athletes.
Adele Nicoll led the way winning two medals on Saturday, firstly a bronze in the U17 discus which she then topped by winning the shot title with a new personal best and championship best performance of 13.98m. Ebony Wake was also successful on the first day of competition with a 3rd place in the U17 long jump.
On the second day of competition another champion was crowned, this time on the rack when Tom Dodd comfortably won the U15 800m in a time of 1.59. This crowned an excellent season for the young stag who was Midlands 1500m champion two weeks previously and 2nd at English Schools in this event. Jordan Lloyd completed a successful weekend with a 3rd place in the U15 boys triple jump.
The meeting also featured some disability events and again a Birchfield athlete was crowned champion when Tyrone Williams won both the F37 U23 shot and discus.
