Stags had a successful weekend at British Athletics Indoor Championships held in Birmingham on Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 February 2018.

Our two gold medals winners were Elliot Giles in 800 metres in a time of 1:49.91 and Mike Edwards clearing 2.20 in the high jump.

Our silver medallists were Scott Rider (V40) in the shot with a throw of 17.64, Adam McMullen in the long jump with a jump of 7.75, Meghan Beesley in 200 metres with a personal best of 23.57, Sadam Koumi in 400 metres with a personal best of 46.44 and Bethan Partridge in the high jump with 1.80.

Our bronze medallists were Sally Peake in the pole vault with 4.15 and Sinead Gutzmore in the triple jump with 13.29.

Our other finalists were: finishing 4th Jake Porter in 60 metres hurdles in 7.84, Daniel Cartwright (U23) in shot with a throw of 16.40 (PB), Elizabeth Edden in pole vault with 3.85, Katie Stainton in the long jump with 6.04, and Ejiro Okoro in 800 metres in 2:04.85, 5th placed athletes were Heather Paton (U23) in 60 metres hurdles in 8.40 and Efe Okoro in 400 metres in 47.89 (47.61 (PB) in semis), 6th in 3000 metres was Tamara Armoush in 9:27.78, 7th placed athletes were Ryan Webb in high jump with a clearance of 2.08, Katie Stainton in the shot with a throw of 12.14 (PB) and Julia Cooke in 1500 metres in 4:25.01.

400 metres: Adam Walker-Khan 48.56 (48.03 in heats), Jarryd Dunn 48.13, Christian Byron 48.74, Elliot Dunn (U23) 50.11 and Ese Okoro 56.35.

800 metres: Robert Umeokafor (U23) 1:53.33

60 metres hurdles: Onajite Okoro 8.35 and Anya Bates (U20) 8.88.
