England Athletics U20/U23 Championships took place at Bedford on Saturday and Sunday, 16th and 17th June 2018 and the stags came away with two golds, one silver and six bronzes.

Emma Hamplett, not only won the U23 Javelin but also broke the Club record both for U23 and senior women. Her throw was 54.08 which put her 1st in the UK rankings. In the U20 Triple Jump, Abazz Shayaam-Smith jumped 12.68 and broke her own Club record which puts her 1st in the UK U20 Triple Jump rankings.

In the U23 400 metres Hurdles Danel Jansen Van Rensburg finished in 2nd place with a time of 62.59.

Our bronze medallists were: Kaie Chambers-Brown in U20 100 metres with a time of 10.41 (10.34 in semis which was a PB). Cassie Ann Pemberton won two bronzes: 100 and 200 metres. Her time in the 100 was 11.80 (11.74 PB in semis) and in 200 was 24.31 (PB). Ben Saunders cleared 1.98 in the U20 high jump, Will Ritchie-Moulin time was 53.18 in U23 400 metres hurdles and, ever improving Will Richardson ran a PB in U23 5000 metres. His time was 14:24.47.

After running so well in the sprints, Kaie Chambers-Brown has been selected to represent GB Juniors this weekend in Mannheim in the 100m and 4x100m.

Charles Hilliard and Cassie-Ann Pemberton will be representing England this weekend in Guernsey.
