On Saturday and Sunday, 30th June and 1st July 2018, the British Championships including the European Trials were held at Birmingham Alexander Stadium and the Stags came away with 3 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronze.

The first gold came in 400 metres hurdles when Meghan Beesley took the title in a time of 55.73 secs.  Next up was Elliot Giles in the 800 metres senior men. He won it in 1:50.28, making it his third title in a row. Matthew Hudson-Smith followed shortly afterwards in the 400m and just like Elliot, he won it for the third year in a row dominating the field with an impressive time of 44.68 secs, which is just outside of his personal best.

Our women were very successful in the field event with Sophie Cook in senior women pole vault (with a personal best height of 4.25), Laura Samuel in the triple jump with a jump (13.75m) Emma Hamplett  in  javelin(49.54m) and Jessica Mayho in the hammer (62.51m), all collecting silver medals. Well done ladies.
