Not fully fit after a knee injury, Daniel was stride for stride with the leader for 250 metres before fading.

After coming second to the USA in the qualifying round, MLF anchored the British team home to beat them by just 1 hundredth of a second to secure gold.

2013 – Adam was finally awarded the Gold medal he had won, when drugs testing eventually caught up with the man who had cheated him into Silver at the 2004 Games. Adam was given his Gold medal at a Burger King.

The venue for the shot put event was at the ancient stadium of Olympia, site of the original Olympics thousands of years ago.
