With three lifetime bests, three seasons bests, and her highest ever final score, Kelly gave the performance of her life. She proved why she went into this event as favourite, but other athletes produced many other lifetime bests to outdo her on the day.
NOTE: The Silver medal was originally awarded to previously convicted drug cheat Blonska (whom Kelly has criticised before) but after failing another drugs test she was stripped of the medal and banned. Birchfield strongly opposes drugs in sport.
